We thank God that the report on yesterday's scans came back with report saying the cancer has NOT spread to other areas!! They are taking a bone scan now and expect a good report there too but want to make sure I guess. Thanks for all your prayers!

Curt is looking & sounding stronger today. He had 3 more scans done this a.m. to see if cancer has spread. We are trusting that it hasn't. They will know the results later today or for sure tomorrow. A Dr just came in & said that they will also do a bone scan tomorrow.

We miss our church in TN & found out we could watch some of the service on the net so this a.m. we did that. Well, it was the same time Curt had to use the restroom so we took the computer over there & he got to watch it from that vantage point!! That has to be a new one & of course I was able to get proof with his camera!! He has had much fun with the Drs & nurses etc. which is his normal procedure & they seem to enjoy his jokes as well as his love for Jesus that he shares.

Grayson & family got in last night & will be coming to the room shortly. We are looking forward to seeing them & especially their 4 children! Grayson & Dad of course are planning to watch the Viking game in about 30 min. God is good.

I didn't write more yesterday as I said I would. They did check out the pain in his right hand & made sure there was no blood clot & thankfully there wasn't. We assume it is from the picc line they put in a couple days ago.

Greg & Grady left for home today (in flight now) & Grayson & family are soon here. Sounds like they will be able to be with us until Friday. That's another long 9 hr trip for them but we are thankful they will make it.

Curt had a good morning but has gotten weaker through the day. Pray he has a good sleep tonight so he can be strong in the a.m.

We are blessed with great caregivers here & so thankful for that as well as the greetings from many friends assuring us of their prayers.

Good morning. I feel like Curt had a better night last night for which we are thankful. He is having pain in his right hand & they are going to do an ultrasound on that to make sure it is not a blood clot. We had a good time of devotions this a.m. Will fill you in as the day goes on.

We have been blessed this Thanksgiving Day even though we are not in a home as usual. Jeremi & Amy Richardson live in the Orlando area & were so gracious & thoughtful & prepared a complete meal & brought it to the hospital room where we enjoyed it with Greg & Grady.

The last couple days haven't been the best but we are expecting better ones ahead. Curt had his first radiation treatment Wed a.m. They gave him a heavy dose in hopes that it will shrink the mass in the artery & stop any more bleeding. Also they won't be giving any more until Mon because of the holiday/weekend.

We are so thankful for our 3 boys who have been able to come to be with us & not only be here but to pray for & with us each day. Having a family that loves the Lord (sounds like a song title!) is indeed a blessing. We are SO grateful for all the prayers from all our friends. We feel them. Trust you have had a blessed day of Thanksgiving to Jesus for all He has done for us.

Curt taken to hospital

We were enjoying the week of Nov 15-20 at Disney World in FL with Grayson & family along with the family who made it possible. We were having a great time & even though Curt has a hard time walking, he was loving using the electric scooter & getting ahead of the rest of us etc!

Curt awakened in the night on Tue & said he had a hard time breathing. He stayed up awhile but came back to bed & was ready to GO again on Wed. Thur a.m. I thought he looked pale & asked if he wanted to stay in the room & I'd stay with him but he said he wanted to go to Animal Kingdom & enjoy it with the family. About noon I asked if we should go back to the room & he agreed. We barely got in the room & he began coughing & coughed up bright red blood. I called Dr Lee who was in the park & when she saw him she knew he needed to be seen so made calls & Grayson took him. They sent him to the local Florida Hospital Celebration where they did tests & found 3 masses, 2 in his right lung & third in same area. They felt that there was also a blood clot in the area.

Fri p.m. they air lifted him to their head hospital: Florida Hospital Orlando where he has been in intensive care ever since. There was a scraping done with report coming on Mon which they figured was inconclusive so they took a ct scan & went in with a needle to get a bigger biopsy yesterday (M0n) p.m. saying we'd get the results for that on Wed. This a.m. the Dr. said he put a rush on it & he hopes to get it back today.

Well, we got the phone call @ 3:25 from the Dr telling us that it is cancer. God is in control.
