  4. Linda, Greg, Grayson, Grady and families. I am so sorry to hear of your loss today. You are in our prayers. Heaven has gained a great treasure today, and I so look forward to the day all of us will be reunited with Curt in Heaven. He was a wonderful man and always full of joy, laughter, and great stories! Greg, Grayson, and Grady, you made your dad very proud, and I know you will continue to do so, as you are great examples of Godly men, sons, husbands, and fathers. My heart aches for you, and I wish there was something I could do to lessen the pain. I know I can't, but I know God can give you peace and comfort, and I am trusting Him for that. Although I didn't get the chance to see Curt very frequently in recent years, I will sure miss him. He was really a great man and someone I admired deeply.

Melodee and I love you all very, very much.

    Love,
    Randy

  5. We're so sorry. Linda, our tears are for you and the boys but can we even imagine the glorious time Curt is having right now as we're grieving? I can imagine him walking (okay running) around in awe and amazement not only meeting Jesus face to face, but actually experiencing the place God prepared for him. Our earthly minds want him back with us but you know how it is when we see and experience something beautiful and amazing here on earth; we want our whole family to come and enjoy it. Well I bet the same thing is going on with Curt in Heaven!! He probably just can't wait until you're all there!!! God will give you comfort and strength just like He promised. Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus. Love, Don and Lona

  6. Linda know that we are praying for you and your family. I have talked with Dona this afternoon and just tried to call her again. Will keep in touch with her. I have the wonderful 'artwork' that Curt was so famous for on my refrigerator...I always laugh at his humor...but the funniest thing he EVER did was shoot the Christmas cards off the TV console with a BB gun from the kitchen table...!!! Yikes, what a guy

  7. Linda and boys,
They say time heals all wounds, but I don't think they figured in someome like Curt impacting lives the way he did. Time will bring an adjustment of how to walk forward with him in our memories. I treasure every fun time I had with him. When he sent me a few things while he was packing up to move from TN, I knew when I held that package that I would treasure it forever. We have memories and tangible things as our connection to Curt. As family, you have such deep emotion and love for him. As you are finding a way to live life with peace, hope and joy, we are covering you with prayer and love. There's no way we can make up for Curt's larger-than-life laugh, singing or jokes, but we will comfort you in anyway we can. He can be seen in the boys, the grandkids and in those whose lives are changed because of him. Lots of love to you all.

  8. When the world
    That I've been living in
    Collapses at my feet,
    When my life
    Is shattered and torn,
    Tho' I'm windswept and battered,
I can cling to His cross
    And find peace
In the midst of my storm.

There is peace in the midst
    Of my storm-tossed life.
    Oh, there's an Anchor,
    There's a Rock,
    To cast my faith upon.
    Jesus rides in my vessel,
    So I'll fear no alarm.
    He gives me peace
In the midst of my storm.

  10. To the Wonderful Long Family,
We are so very sorry for your loss. We are praying for peace and comfort during this most difficult time. It is assuring to know that Curt is now free from pain and enjoying his heavenly home.

"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior." Isaiah 43:2-3

Your family will always hold a special place in our hearts.

    With Love and Prayers,
    Ben and Tonya

  12. Linda and Family,
My mind goes back to the late 50's or early 60's when I first met your family (what there was of it back them)in Cambridge Minnesota when you were holding revival meetings at the Assemblies of God Church there. I remember one of the boys playing a wash tub "bass" in those meetings. We have enjoyed your fellowship and Curt's anointed preaching through the years. Yvonne and I send our love and prayers to you all. We pray for God's strength and blessing during this difficult time. "The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms." (Deut 33:27)
